We are very excited to be able to offer an opportunity for families to learn and develop a range of hand-building clay skills and techniques. This family course will be tailored to suit the needs of children and adults alike.

Over the entire course, we will explore the basic skills of working with clay, including 

• How to wedge/prepare your clay
• Make clay slip (glue!) and how to successfully join clay pieces together
• How to successfully build coils and build structures from them
• Develop a range of impression and texture techniques into clay
• Learn how to make and build from clay slabs
• Demonstrate an understanding of how to use glazes to give your outcomes a professional and durable finish
• Create a range of 3D outcomes

All clay, glazes and firing are included in the cost of this course. Aprons will be provided, but we recommend wearing warm clothing that doesn’t matter too much if clay gets on it! The children will be able to bring home all of their outcomes and hopefully pass on the contagiousness of the crafting bug!

This club will only be able to run should be meet the minimum enrolment requirements, should the club not run, all money will be refunded. Apologies in advance should this happen.

Saturday: April 29th, May 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th, June 17th, July 1st & 15th.

£108 for 8 weeks p/participant (£13.50 p/class)
Available for a maximum of 2 adults per child, suggested no younger than 6 years of age for the children.
